KARACHI – Legendary batsman Younis Khan has announced retirement from International Cricket after the upcoming West Indies Test series.

For the past 20 years, Younis has been a symbol of professionalism and true sportsmanship. He has been such a great ambassador of cricket throughout his career. With lots of ups and downs, Younis never surrendered. He bounced back whenever he was cornered.

He responded with the bat, whenever his critic urged him to retire due to his lack of form. He came back always, and always with a bang… Becoming a living example of “Form is temporary, but class is permanent.”

He was a permanent part of the Pakistan Test team for years, a pillar of Pak batting line. A man to look towards when Pakistan batting was tumbling, a man to rely on. He was called the man of crisis for a reason.

Here is one of his memorable innings of 200+ runs at Lord’s last year, when he single-handedly won a Test match for Pakistan in England. He’ll be remembered forever.
