Nisar ask Interior Ministry to revise visa rule

Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday directed his department to revise and update visa rule; he ordered to suspend visa on arrival by saying that it can bear difficulties in regulations, as reported by Samaa.

He ordered to strict the rules and regulation in ministry and departments. Ministry said that privilege should be given to immigration and border management to build under FBR.

Secretary Interior, Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Advocate General, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Acting Inspector General Islamabad and senior officers of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Ministry of Interior attended the meeting.

He praised the work in the issuance of visa and area information but asked the ministry to do more. Nisar highlighted the importance of visa database by saying that it is essential for state institutions to keep cheek and balance on travellers.

It is revealed in the meeting that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) IN 2016 recovered Rs. 2.513 Billion and deposited in national treasury Rs. 2.13 billion from the Recovery of Petroleum Levy.
