DHARAMSALA – India’s skipper Virat Kohli won millions of heart even being out of the game when he brought drinks to Indian fielders on the field on the first day of the fourth Test between India and Australia.
Australia were bundled out on 300, n the first day of the fourth Test match between India and Australia at Dharamsala.
During drinks break, as the Indian team were fielding against the Australians, Kohli trotted out with drinks for his team, acting as the water boy despite his injury.
The act won him applause from the entire stadium and also earned praise from retired cricketers and commentators, including Sunil Gavaskar and Brett Lee.
“Look at who has got the ‘paani’ for everybody. 12th man Virat Kohli,” said Sunil Gavaskar.
“This is fantastic. He must be the most expensive drinks man in the world,” said former Australian pacer Brett Lee.
The act won praise from fans of the cricketer as well, who were pleasantly surprised at Kohli’s humbleness.
