ISLAMABAD – The federal government is reportedly considering a 10-15 percent increase in salaries and pensions of government employees, local media said.

The decision could be taken in the annual budget 2017-18 by merging 50pc ad hoc allowances into the basic pay.

According to the sources, the first working has started on the directions of Finance Ministry. The recommendation would merge 50pc of the ad hoc allowances into the basic salary, and an increment of 10 percent will be given to the government employees.

Also, 15 percent increase is expected to be given in pensions.

Other recommendations under consideration were to increase the allowances including medical, housing and others. The decision will be taken at the end of April after the Finance Ministry receives the summary of recommendations.

Please increase in this budget freez house rent last 8 years a grade 17 officer receiving 4427 in karachi not get one room and not receiving utility allowance directorate side employees why? 4 time increase secretariat side employees self hiring why? computer allowance not increased since last 20 years non gazzeted received computer allowance 750 pm and gazzeted received 1500 pm only why? kindly increase the salaries on equal to crises and give utility allowances and self hiring facility to all employees why are difference between secretariat and non secretariat basis give justice all employees who are servant of govt of pakistan give justice
