LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday has decided to rest premier left-arm fast bowler Muhammad Amir for the T20 series against West Indies.
The decision was taken after taking Amir into confidence, sources said.
A five-days training camp for the West Indies tour is going in National Cricket Acadamy (NCA), Lahore.
Chief Selector Inzimam-ul-Haq, head coach Micky Arthur and bowling coach Azhar Mehmood are attending camp on regular basis.
Teams for the upcoming tour of West Indies will be picked and announced at the end of the camp. The announcement is expected on 17th of March, Friday.
Earlier, a fitness test of attending players was taken, on Tuesday. Left-arm all-rounder Sohail Tanveer and swashbuckling batsman Umar Akmal failed the test.
