Women taxi service to kick off from March 23

LAHORE – Since the recent rise in entrepreneurship, Paxi, a transport company kicked off women specific taxi service.

According to detail, the company said since the women are confronted with conveyance problem, Paxi has come out with idea of introducing pink taxi service “for women and by women”.

Although this new gender specific transport system will facilitate women, it will also generate job opportunities for the women across the country.

Like the earlier transport system that has been introduced recently in the country’s biggest cities, this Paxi service is also based on online application where people can book a taxi through internet.

This transports system could be accessed through four modes including hailing a cab on the road, the phone app, call center and SMS service, said Sheikh Mohammad Zahid, Paxi Pakistan’s CEO.

He said that the services of Paxi can be availed by just sending a text message to the Paxi mobile server or by merely calling, customers can avail the services at their door steps.

The company is going to launch a pilot project with 10 drivers which will be speeded to other areas later on.
