LAHORE – In order to provide better first aid and medical services to the people, the government has introduced motor bikes ambulance service in Punjab.
According to PakistanTribe correspondent in Lahore, the aim of this unique service is to provide quick and efficient emergency aid to the public as narrow streets and lanes in the most populace and congested province of Pakistan.
According to Punjab government, around 900 motor bikes have been introduced for this purpose which will serve various biggest cities of Punjab including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Faisal Abad, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha and Sahiwal.
As per the detail, the distributions of motor bike ambulances are varying in numbers: 300 motor bikes ambulances for Lahore, 100 for divisional headquarters and 50 for Bahawalpur, DG Khan and Sargodha.
Chief Minister Punjab says that around 900 medical technicians are also being appointed who will reach on the spot immediately after any untoward or emergency situation in the province.
He said he has sanctioned the motor bike ambulance service in a meeting held on Monday.
