SANT LUCIA – The Pakistan all-rounder and T20 specialist Sohail Tanveer, who represented Karachi Kings in the second edition of PSL 2017, has been picked in the CPL Draft as the most expensive Pakistani player.
He was signed by Guyana Amazon Warriors for $160,000. His teammate, all-rounder Shoaib Malik was picked by Barbados Tridents for $ 110,000.
It seems PSL 2017 has helped unknown Pakistan talent to get a knowing in the world, as emerging player Shadab Khan has also been picked by the Trinbago Knight Riders for $30,00, that is equal to what paceman Wahab Riaz got from Barbados Tridents and double to Kamran Akmal’s price ($15,000), who was picked by St. Lucia Starr.
Apart from the listed above players, Imad Wasim was signed by Jamaica Tallawahs for $90,000 and Islamabad United’s pacer Mohammad Sami was picked for $70,000 for the same team.
The drafting event is still underway, and more updates will be posted soon.
