ISLAMABAD – The Prime Minister of Pakistan will be summoned over publishing blasphemous materials on the internet if the need be arisen, says Justice Shaukat Aziz Sadiqui of Islamabad High Court (IHC).
According to PakistanTribe correspondent, Justice Shaukat Aziz Sadiqui heard the case of blasphemous materials on the internet in Islamabad High Court on Saturday.
On this occasion, the Police, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) authorities presented the performance report with regards to the case where the PTA authorities say that all the pages based on blasphemy have been blocked and an FIR has also been lodged in the Ramna police station.
The PTA reveals the FIR has been filed on after a long consultation by Secretary interior, IG Islamabad and FIA authorities.
The FIR lodge in connection with the blasphemous material on internet says pages like Bhensa, Muchi and Roshni where attempts were made to defame the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and tease the feelings of all the Muslims.
According to PakistanTribe correspondent, the FIR has been filed with the Station House Officer (SHO) as the complainant against the unknown persons where codes dealing with blasphemy.
It is pertinent to mention that the defamation of Islam, the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet are unpardonable offense in Pakistan however several critics have been working on invalidating these laws with the support from foreign countries and their embassies in Pakistan.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Sadiqui said during hearing, ‘No one will be allowed to disrespect our Holy Prophet (PBUH) as his intercession will be acceptable on the day of judgement.’
