LAHORE – Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman, is all set to make a comeback in Pakistan side, after his phenomenal performance in HBL PSL 2017.
Akmal turned out to be the best batsman and wicket keeper of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season II with his outstanding 353 runs and 12 catches behind stumps.
Kamran is now paving his way back to the national team. If this happens, wicket keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan will have to leave his place to make room for Akmal.
It’s also a fact that the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal is not going to be the first choice for wicket keeping, the reason being the presence of Sarfaraz Ahmad in the squad.
On the other hand, reports claim that coach Mickey Arthur has reservations over Kamran’s selection as a fielder/batsman. He is also of the view that inclusion of Akmal at the age of 35 may go against plans.
