ISLAMABAD – Since Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif allowed Pakistan Super League (PSL) final to be held in Qaddafi Stadium Lahore, many praises and criticism of Pakistan’s leaders came out on the forefront.
One, former cricketer and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan says “The idea to hold PSL final in Lahore is a total insanity. If any untoward situation takes place then international cricket will not be held in Pakistan for the next 10 years.”
Two, former President Pervez Musharraf says, “The PSL final should be held in Lahore and in this way an effective response can be given to the terrorists. If we were not carrying out this match in Lahore then it means we are being played at the hands of terrorists.”
Three, Minister Transport (Sindh) Syed Nasir Hussain Shah says, “We are ready to hold PSL final in Karachi. The wave of terror showed the real performance of the Punjab government.”
Four, Minister of State Maryam Aurangzeb lauded the decision of Shehbaz Sharif to bring cricket match to Punjab and assured for fool proof security and says “Holding PSL final in Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore is a big-news for the nation.”
Leader of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid comments, “Though risk factor is associated with conducting the PSL final in Lahore, yet the decision of the Punjab government is promising. And I myself will visit Qaddafi Stadium to watch PSL final match.”
Earlier, Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa has also expressed his views while supporting the PSL final in Lahore and assured that security will be provided for this match where both domestic and international prayers will be participating.
All these hue and cry came on the forefront when a wave of terror and fear resurfaced Pakistan, suicide bombers blasting and exploding themselves across various cities in Pakistan.
