According to Pakistan Tribe science desk, the University of California, Los Angeles, a recent research reinforced the sayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that keeping fasts for five days a month will dispel the chances of catching cancer, diabetics and other related heart diseases.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) has said that keeping fasts on three days in a month including 13, 14 and 15 are equal to the benefits of the whole month of fasting—besides it helps in a healthy lifestyle.

Experts have conducted studies on several individuals and that they have been kept on fasting for five days a month consecutively for three months and they concluded that whoever fast for few days will remove the likelihood of becoming ill especially heart diseases, obesity, cancer and diabetes.

The study said that these statistics have been achieved only within the span of three months and if anyone keeps on fasting for five days a month that he could get multiple benefits including peace of mind and healthy body.
