ISLAMABAD – The former Pakistan pacer Sarfraz Nawaz has blamed Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Najam Sethi as well as chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan of inviting gamblers and lying to the nation, respectively.
He had filed a petition in Islamabad High Court against the appointment of Najam Sethi and Sarfraz Nawaz in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). However, the hearing was postponed without any proceeding.
Sarfraz Nawaz admitted that the case of match-fixing in Pakistan Super League (PSL) has damaged the reputation of Pakistan. “Those who defamed Pakistan should be dismissed immediately”, he demanded.
He claimed that PCB will never accept Khalid Latif as a witness because their own people will be in danger in this way.
The reverse swing inventor expressed the possibility of International Cricket Council banning PSL due to fixing scandal.
