LAHORE – Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran khan Tuesday called for Rangers Operation in Punjab to end terrorism, Pakistantribe.com reported.
According to Pakistan Tribe correspondent, Imran Khan says if Ranger Operation can be carried out in Karachi so why it cannot be possible in Punjab.
On Monday, a powerful explosion ripped through protesting workers of pharmacy sector and their sellers against drug act outside Punjab Assembly, killing 13 people including police officers and leaving 83 injured.
In a reaction to this calamity, the PTI chairman lashed out at the government saying that they would introduce a bill in Punjab and Sindh Assembly to depoliticize police so as they could work in a much efficient manner.
He explains that since police have deep roots in the society, recognising every individual and their activities, they would ride the social structure from the evil of terrorism if merit and sincerity were given preference.
If an implementation of the National Action Plane (NAP) was ensured, the country would never have seen the wave of terrorism in the country, Imran noted.
Good standard and efficiency of the police ensure the eradication of terrorism.
‘If we want to get benefit out of NAP we will have to go for FATA reforms. Otherwise, all our efforts will go down the drain,’ warned PTI chief.
It is pathetic when a government official in the cadre of Punjab Chief Minister asking the Taliban not to do anything in Punjab, Imran Khan lamented.
