DUBAI – Brilliant bowling display from Lahore Qalandar bowlers and excellent captaincy by Brandon McCullum restricted Quetta Gladiators to just 136/9 in the second match of HBL PSL 2017 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Lahore captain McCullum won the toss and opted to bowl first. The plan worked well for Qalandars as they only gave away 26 runs and took two important wickets of Gladiators.
Skipper kept pressing hard on Quetta batsmen. He kept the fielders close in the circle to squeeze runs. He kept his slip fielders in place to attack and resultantly got half of the team out for just 56 runs.
Besides Rossow (60) and Shafiq (29), no other Quetta batsmen could face Qalandar bowlers.
Some firepower from Rossow and a little cameo from youngster Hasan (16), led Quetta Gladiators to 136/9 un 20 overs.
