MELBOURNE  – Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan made a comeback in second one-day international (ODI) against Australia in Melbourne Sunday and proved his selection right by picking up two early wickets of Australia top order.

Both openers, Usman Khawaja and David Warner, were picked up by Junaid Khan in quick successions.

Mohammad Amir also came to the party and sent Mitchell Marsh to the pavilion for naught, leaving Australia at 41/3.

Skipper Steve Smith and Travis Head then built up a partnership of 45 runs but Travis Head was ultimately dismissed by Hasan Ali for 29 and Australia were 86/4 in 17.2 overs.

Earlier, Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat in the second of five ODIs.

Pakistan are missing captain Azhar Ali, who suffered a hamstring injury in the first ODI in Brisbane on Friday.

He has been replaced by Asad Shafiq. Mohammad Hafeez will captain the team in Azhar’s absence.

In other changes, Shoaib Malik and Junaid Khan come in for Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Nawaz.

Australia have made two changes to the side that beat Pakistan on Friday.
