LAHORE – Prominent singer, songwriter and musician Bilal Saeed escaped from the premises of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday after his bail was rejected.
The 28-year-old singer attending a hearing of a case regarding his alleged involvement in a fraud and theft case lodged at Raiwind Police Station.
Bilal had applied for bail in the LHC. After hearing arguments of two sides, the court rejected Saeed’s bail plea, Samaa reported.
The singer instead of handing him over to police chose to run away from the court along with his companions.
Since the beginning of his career in 2011, Bilal Saeed has received various awards nominations in Pakistan, India and United Kingdom and the only Pakistani to get nominated for PTC Punjabi Music Awards and Brit Asia Awards.
The singer gained fame through his debut single “12 Saal” in 2011.
In 2012 he released his new single “Mahi Mahi” and debut album “Twelve” which received two nominees at PTC Punjabi Music Award for Best Non-Residents Punjabi Album and Best Non-Resident Punjabi Vocalist.
The album also featured Dr Zeus, Amrinder Gill and Fateh. A single “Khair Mangdi” from the album was nominated for Song of the Year at 13th Lux Style Awards.
In 2014, Saeed released a single “Lethal Combination” with Roach Killa under Beyond Records. The single topped BBC Asian Charts.
