KARACHI – Wicket-keeper batsman and the vice-captain of Pakistan cricket team, Sarfraz Ahmed has returned to attend his ailing mother in Karachi. He is most likely to miss One-Day Internationals against Australia.
According to Samaa reports, Sarfraz’s mother is critically ill and under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.
He has left for Pakistan to join his mother, who underwent surgery two days ago.
Though PCB has not announced his replacement; Kamran Akmal is expected to adhere to the squad in Australia to replace Sarfraz Ahmed.
Australia thrashed Pakistan by 220 runs in the third and final Test in Sydney on Saturday to complete a 3-0 whitewash.
Pakistan will play the first of the five ODIs on Friday, January 13in Brisbane. The next matches will be in Melbourne (January 15), Perth (January 19), Sydney (January 22) and Adelaide (January 26).
