ISLAMABAD – Renowned poet and left wing activist Salman Hyder went missing from Islamabad on Friday night.

Mr Hyder – came in limelight after his peom, “Mein bi kaafir, To bi kaafir” – is also a professor at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi.

Salman Hyder’s family said he went missing from Bani Gala area of the federal capital late last night as his vehicle was found from Coral Chowk.

He was a visiting scholar at University of Texas at Auston. Salman Haider (Salman Zaheer) is also a blogger and Playwrite with his political activism as part of Awami Workers Party.

According to his social media profile, he belonges to Chiniot, Punjab and currently living in Islamabad.

His wife said, “The last contact we had with him was through mobile phone message in which he informed that he will come late.”

His family feared he has been abducted after he went to see his friends in Bani Gala. His missing complaint has been lodged at the police station.
