MUZAFFARABAD – Indian troops on Friday night opened an unprovoked firing and mortar shelling at Chirkot Sector along with Line Of Control (LOC).

No casualty has been reported so far.

According to ISPR, Pakistan soldiers retaliated strongly and one India soldier was reportedly killed during the exchange of fires.

The rise in violence follows the September Uri attack, in which 19 Indian soldiers were killed, the deadliest such incident in a decade.
