DUBAI – Brilliant performance in Gabba Test has helped Pakistani players in the ICC players ranking released on Monday.

After a dismal performance in the first innings of the Gabba Test, Pakistan team fought back in their second innings like a cornered tigers and almost chased a mammoth total of 490 runs.

Younis Khan has moved up one place and is now on 8th in the Test rankings. Likewise, Asad Shafiq has jumped five places and is now on number twenty.

Earlier, Younis Khan scored 65 and Asad Shafiq scored a magnificent century (137) in fourth innings against Australia in pink-ball Brisbane Test.

Azhar Ali and Misbah-ul-Haq have already occupied 16th and 19th positions respectively.

Fast bowler Wahab Riaz has also managed to score career best ranking of 24th number as a result of his good bowling in day-night Test in Brisbane.
