LONDON: Theresa May, British Prime Minister told parliament on Monday that she was thoughtful about Andrei Karlov, Russian ambassador who was shot dead in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
“I was just looking at what I believe…is some breaking news, that the Russian ambassador to Turkey has been shot,” May said in the middle of a question and answer session.
“I think is a matter of concern,” she said.
On the other hand, the United States condemn the murder of Russian ambassador to Turkey.
The ambassador was attacked in Ankara, at an art gallery while he had started his public speech. The killer was shot in response by security.
The person who shot the ambassador was himself a security personnel at the art gallery.
“We condemn this act of violence, whatever its source,” said John Kirby, US State Department spokesman in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”
