Judicial Commission to conduct transparent probe into Pindi incident: Mamoon Sheikh | PakistanTribeRAWALPINDI – Justice Mamoon Rasheed Sheikh, the head of the Judicial Commission (JC), constituted to conduct investigations into the Rawalpindi incident of 10th Muharram, has said that the probe into the tragic incident will be transparent and a permanent solution will be suggested to avoid such incidents in the future.

Addressing High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi here on Tuesday, Justice Mamoon Rasheed Sheikh said that formal investigation had not yet started.

He said that he required the cooperation of lawyers and the civil society for the successful investigation of the incident.

On the occasion, Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh thanked the High Court Bar and said that he belongs to the Bar which has prestige on the other Bars, saying that the judges of the Bars who become judges from this Bar are prominent among the judges.

He said that he is fortunate that he belongs to Rawalpindi Bar, saying that he learnt much from this Bar.

While addressing on the occasion, Rawalpindi High Court Bar Association President, Chaudhry Taufique Asif said that it is an hour for the Bar that Justice Nasir Saeed is performing the duties of senior judge.

He said that there should be such a relation between the Bar and the bench that each could hear the other. He said that Rawalpindi incident is a major incident. He said that the Rawalpindi Bar conveyed message to Chief justice that action should be taken and upon this, judicial commission headed by Justice Mamoon Rasheed Sheikh was constituted.

A number of Justices and the office bearers of the Rawalpindi High Court Bar Association were present on the occasion.

It is pertinent to mention here that the government constituted three-member committee for investigation of the incident.
