[dropcap]I[/dropcap]SLAMABAD – “I wanted to buy, but didn’t find anything interesting,” this was the answer of more than 26% of audience took part in an online survey about their Black Friday experience in Pakistan.
A survey conducted by the Tech blog ProPakistan to know digital behaviour of Pakistani consumer, asked the participants about their Black Friday Shopping experience.
People who took part in survey given many options including ‘What is Black Friday?’ 7% of participants chose this option, which means a campaign or campaigns focusing on awareness should be there in near future or before next event.
Twelve percent of participants come up with another complain and this time it was about technical problems. The chosen answer was; I wanted to buy, but couldn’t place order due to technical issues.
23% participants gave response with complain that “I wanted to buy, but even discounted prices were higher than usual.”
In this comparatively dark picture there was still a hope as 21% responded with a positive note, “Superb, I am happy with the discounts that I availed!”
“Deals were good, but I didn’t buy anything,” was the answer of 10% of participants.
There are unconfirmed reports that newly introduced eCommerce industry in Pakistan operating on the volume of 100m annual comprising many international and local players backed by stable organisations and new startups by individuals and groups.
