ICC clears Corey Anderson & Shahid Afridi fastest 100 issue | PakistanTribeDUBAI: After the International Cricket Council (ICC) declaration on fastest-century in the One-Day International, now Corey Anderson is the record holder.

ICC has denied any doubt on fastest century record of New Zealander batsman, Corey Anderson.

ICC officials said the ODI matches results were official after playing 20 overs and as New Zealand and West Indies team had played 21 overs match, Anderson now has the fastest-century record in ODI history.

The old ICC constitution Article 2 of ‘Playing Conditions’ mentions that the ODI match should be concerned at least 25 overs, but the rule is now updated and after this update 20 overs play can be considered as a routine one-day match.

Left-handed Anderson had made fastest-century in 21 overs, while Shahid Afridi had made fastest-century in the 50 overs match in 1996.
