Four killed in violent incidents in Karachi | PakistanTribeKARACHI – Four people were killed in sporadic incidents of firing in Karachi as paramilitary Rangers continued their crackdown to purge the city of criminals on Tuesday.

Rescue officials said a man was gunned down in Dalmia and another in Korangi Industrial area in drive-by attacks.

A firing incident was reported in Baldia town locality where two others were shot injured. A man was killed in Lyari’s Ahmed Shah Bukhari area and while a body was recovered near Super Highway.

Meanwhile, Rangers conducted ‘targeted’ operation in Ghausia Colony this morning and arrested few suspects, cordoning off entry and exit points of the area and searching suspected houses.

On Monday, two police officials were killed in an attack and three citizens were shot dead in Orangi Town and Lyari.

The policemen were identified as Rahat and Siddique. A sub-inspector, Mir Ali, was injured in the assault which took place in Nazimabad area.

Sindh Police Additional Inspector General Shahid Hayat said the religious extremists might be involved in the incident.
