[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his is overwhelmingly sad, What kinda hypocrisy we are living in and what Capitalism has done to us? We always praise the social work done by some activist and we are, all the time, ready with our tissues to cry over misery. But do we ever put a thought to how we can actually end all of it? I don’t know.
Recently a reporter from Metropolis Selay Marius Kouassi, offered a piece of chocolate to the local harvester of Cocoa N’Da Alphonse, Who had never tasted the outcome of his harvest, the reaction was priceless.
This actually makes me wonder why life is so unfair? These farmers don’t even know what Cocoa is used for, it was like a magical bite of heaven for them.
They are unaware of the little pleasures of life, which many of us take for granted. When Kouassi told them the process of Chocolate-making, they were in for a huge bewilderment.
These farmers have been harvesting the crop for a decade now but have never got a chance to taste it’s outcome.
Chocolate costs about 2 Euros in Ivory Coast, whereas these farmers merely manage to earn 7 Euros per day. There are many mouths to be fed on such a meager income.
