Govt Increases Petrol Price By Rs 2.50 Per Liter From Nov 1 | PakistanTribe.com

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]SLAMABAD – The government has increased the petrol price by Rs 2.50 and the price of diesel by Rs 1.75 from November 1, PakistanTribe.com reported.

Talking to media persons in Islamabad on Saturday, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the government has only approved increase of Rs 2.50 for petrol and Rs 1.75 for Hi-Speed diesel from November 1.The government decided not to increase prices of Hi-Octane, kerosene oil and light diesel to provide relief to the masses in view of the coming winter season.The new price of petrol will now be Rs 76.26 midnight onwards.

To a question, Ishaq Dar said the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has witnessed an increase of 20 percent revenue collection in first quarter of the current fiscal year as compared to the last year.

He said that it has also been decided to extend time for filing of tax returns for one month and now the new date for this purpose will be November 30
