Tsuneko Sasamoto, Japan’s first female photographer, turned 101-year-old in September. She became a professional photo-shooter at the age of 25 and since then she is documenting pre and post-war Japan. 

She even has the distinctions of being one of the oldest photographers on Earth. Even being 101-year-old, she still doing photography.

“It’s essential to remain positive about your life and never give up,” says Tsuneko

She is busy in collecting the memories.

Japanese news site NHK reports that she currently is busy in collecting the photographs of her 70 year period. She is photographing even after breaking of her legs and left hand, last year. This all tells about her passion about it.

She’s doing rehab to gain strength while photographing flowers for a project titled “Hana Akari,” or “Flower Glow.” It’s a homage to friends of the photographer who have passed away.
