According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the lists were exchanged under Article-II of the December 1988 Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installations and Facilities and the Agreement on Consular Access signed on May 21, 2008 between Pakistan and India.
Under the agreements, the two countries are required to exchange lists of their respective nuclear installations and facilities and prisoners.
Accordingly, a list of requisite facilities in Pakistan was officially handed over to a representative of the Indian High Commission at the Foreign Office on Wednesday.
The Indian side also handed over its list to the Pakistan High Commission by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
Similarly, the biannual exchange of the list of prisoners was conducted.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over a list of 281 Indian prisoners (49 civilian and 232 fishermen) in Pakistan to the High Commission of India in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs also handed over the list of Pakistani prisoners currently in Indian jails.
According to this list, there are a total of 396 Pakistanis in Indian jails (257 civilian and 139 fishermen).
