Make the best use of a bunch of spinach apart from its regular use in a sabzi, and whip up a spinach smoothie instead. This week’s super food in the smoothie is raw coconut.
Green Spinach Smoothie
¾ cup plain low fat hung curd
2 cups chopped raw spinach leaves
1 ripe pear, chopped
15 green or red grapes
2 tablespoons grated fresh coconut
Juice of 1 small lemon
Blend them together, strain and drink!
Raw coconut is rich in mediumchain triglycerides. Although this is a type of fat, it can possibly aid in weight loss. This is because of how raw coconut is digested by our bodies. As we digest the fatty acids in raw coconut, our bodies immediately use the substances released for energy rather than storing as fat.
