KARACHI – School of Leadership’s flagship program the annual Young Leaders’ Conference is currently taking place at the Dreamworld Resort in Karachi. The 12th in a series, this week-long simulation brings together 350 youth from all over Pakistan.
Day 5 of YLC was themed “Irteqa”, meaning evolution. The day focused on change management, adapting to various situations, taking initiatives in enterprises, thinking out of the box and using technology in a positive light.
One of the key discussions of the day evolved around how nations engaged in creative technological advancement lead the world; others, who consume these inventions, remain followers.
Ramiz Allawala, corporate trainer, shared with participants his formula to success. While the highlight of the day was, politician and ex-CEO of Engro, Asad Umar appearance who coaxed the youth to capitalize on the immense opportunities that surround them.
Participants were also introduced to successful entrepreneurs of Pakistan who shared their stories. Prominent among them were: Tanveer Yousaf of 14th Street Pizza, Shahrukh Chaudhary of Deal Today and Abid Butt of E2E Supply Chain and Management.
With technology and entrepreneurship being discussed all day, participants retired at day end with hearts full of youthful ambition and mind a buzz with many promising ideas for a better nation and a brighter future.
