Projects included Mangi Dam, Balochistan Agriculture University and Flyover on Smungli Road. PM Nawaz was briefed on the projects during the ceremony.
PM Nawaz was accompanied by army chief General Raheel Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar at the ceremony. Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch was also present.
The prime minister said on Tuesday, that his government gives priority to Balochistan as the province will have central role in the future development of Pakistan.
More added, the premier said the federal government is funding the ongoing development projects in Balochistan on priority basis and the port city of Gwadar will be linked to other cities of the country to utilise its true potential.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to make Balochistan the economic hub of the country, Nawaz said his government plans to connect Pakistan with Central Asia via Tirmiz and soon Balochistan will be the central point of the economic activity of the whole region.
The prime minister was later scheduled to be briefed on the law and order situation at the Governor House during a meeting that would also be attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.
Strict security arrangements were in place for the prime minister’s visit to Quetta.
