Such a great combination of bowling, batting and field energy is a rare thing to see in most of the players.
But a sign of hope emerged during the 5th one day between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in form of Anwar Ali.
According to The News International, Anwar put up 41 off 38 deliveries to recover a bit to the stumbling Pakistan batting line. Pakistan, when Anwar Ali arrived in the ground, was at 194 losing 8 wickets.
Besides a fairly good partnership between Muhammad Hafeez and Misbah ul Haq, no Pakistan batsman stood on the creeze to make a handsome figure.
The News reports that “Coming in at No 7 in the absence of Shahid Afridi, Anwar managed to do that.”
After that Anwar pushed the Pakistani batting line towards a bit decent total, though, Pakistan had to face the defeat in the fifth ODI.
Do you think Anwar Ali could replace Shahid Afrid?
