The 22 year old Athiya will be seen in Nikhil Advani’s, Hero opposite another debutant, Sooraj Pancholi.
Involvement of Salman Khan in the movie as producer brings this movie to limelight. While all eyes are on Athiya Shetty, whose father Sunil Shetty was at one time Bollywood’s most required actors.
Sunil reassured Athiya would do good job in Bollywood as it was a ‘beautiful’ industry, of which he had been a part of since many years.
He added, “She did plays in her school. I am glad she asked me if I would be happy with her joining films. I said, ‘I am in this industry and it is a beautiful industry. It is the most beautiful and safe place for girls. If they want to conduct themselves right, then nobody can trouble them.”
Sunil also expressed pleasure and satisfaction that him and superstar Salman Khan were there to guide Athiya and ensure her success.
Sunil further added, “I don’t regret my time. I was strong. I stood on my own… fell down. I did death defying stunts. I am happy that I am there for my children to support them. Athiya has been out there so she doesn’t know much about the real world. I am happy we are there to protect, guide them and see that they don’t end up messing things for themselves.”
Father also says some good words about Athiya that she is extremely hard working and would insist on redoing a scene if she felt that she wasn’t happy with how it turned out. ”She would message or call Nikhil at the night saying I am not happy with the way I did a scene. So he used to ask her to do one more take of the scene in morning. These were the only things that she told me. She never said, ‘I am tired.
Athiya will definitely go a long way with this hard working attitude.
