CALIFORNIA – The technology giant Apple is warning users of 2015 MacBook Pros about an issue with the laptop that may cause data corruption.
Apple issued the warning of the Data Loss and Data Corruption as there are thousands of the Latest MacBook Pro users which are protesting for immediate action because there are some stains which are appearing over the Apple’s MacBook Pro Retina Screen.
According to the company, the 15-inch mid 2015 range Retina model is affected with corruption occurring in “rare cases.”
Users that have been affected by stains spreading across their laptop screens are worried about the expensive service fees they will have to pay once the warranties or protection plans expire.
Apple released a firmware update to fix a problem on the laptop’s flash storage component.
The mid-2015 MacBook Pro includes all 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro models that were released in May of this year.
It is pertinent to mention here that owners of the affected model can download the update through the Mac App Store or directly from Apple’s Support site. It’s a 1.9MB download from Apple’s site.
As with other firmware updates, the Retina MacBook Pro must be connected to a power source rather than running on battery, and must not suffer any power interruptions for the brief time the firmware is being updated.
Depending on the unit, the Mac may need to restart more than once to complete operations and should not be disturbed during that time.
