Nepra demanded answer of its notice from K-Electric, which is a private distribution company within 15 days.
According to Nepra Spokesman K-Electric fails to fulfill the demands of agreement and failed to improve its supply system.
The spokesperson claimed that violations of all agreements and licence conditions, relating to power generation and transmission and distribution, by the K-Electric had been established.
He also said, the K-Electric management had refused to provide information and data to an inspection team of Nepra.
Later the KE was directed by the regulator through written communications to cooperate with its fact-finding team and provide accurate data to it.
Nepra issued notice after 3 major cracks down in Karachi.
It said, if K-Electric has no genuine reason present to Nepra of breaks down, then Nepra will take over K-Electric and will face fine of 1oo million.
During this month Karachi faces 3 major cracks down of electric supply, meanwhile on Thursday only after 30 minutes rainfall, more than 200 feeders get tripped many of them are still not restored.
