Baahubali is all set to be Indian cinema’s most expensive film. An epic battle movie is based on the smash-hit of Hollywood movie 300.
However, the film is not going to be launched by Bollywood but Tamil and Telugue languages of the Tollywood and Kolywood markets.
Director SS Rajamouli said that movie, which eager cinema goers are also comparing to Hercules, will break the previous big-budget Indian film by whopping $17 million.
“There are still over a hundred days of shooting left, followed by post-production for the second part. The budget will definitely be over 250 crore rupees ($40 million) for both parts,” Mr. Rajamouli told to news sources.
The expensive movie will highlight the southern-India’s film industries which are not into notice because of glamour of Bollywood.
Baahubali-The Beginning, the two part film series’s first part will hit the cinemas on 10th July.
Bahubali, literally meaning The One With Strong Arms in English, is loaded with special effects and tells the fictional story of two warring brothers battling for control of an ancient kingdom.
