PANZHIHUA, CHINA – A Chinese inspirational student has passed his university entrance exam with good marks by using his feet to write as he has no arms when he was six years old.
Peng Chao, 20 years old has scored 603 out of 750 marks in the gaokao examinations in China which is considered the most difficult test.
He has decided to apply for several top universities in his province.
Peng Chao lost his both arms in an electric shock in after he stood too close to a high-voltage power transformer when he was just six years old.
But since then he has learnt to dress himself, write and use computers with his feet. He was granted an additional 45 minutes to take the exam because he takes longer to write than students with hands.
It is worth mentioning here that last year, he passed the gaokao examinations but decided to retake this year after he was left unsatisfied with his score of 538. He was not given any extra time then.
Peng has dreamed of going to Zhejiang University in eastern China to study civil engineering, but his parents recommended him to stay in the same province so they can better take care of him.
Every year, more than nine million teenagers take the gaokao examinations across three days in China.
