If you have a sweet, cute cat as a pet, you would know that it is hard to refuse your little guy the thing he wants, but as a responsible pet owner you should teach your cat to eat only that food which is given to him or her in bowl, not the food served on dining table.
There are some food items which you can share with your cat like small amounts of cooked vegetables and fish but you should limit the treat to only these foods.
Here a few things which would seem quite innocent to be fed to your cat, but you should keep these things at arm’s length from him or her.
Every real chocolate is made from two toxins, Caffeine and Theobromine and the dark chocolate, baker’s chocolate, and cocoa powder contain higher concentrations. These chemicals are not good for your cat as they would stimulate its heart and the nervous system.
It may result in “vomiting, increased thirst, abdominal discomfort, and restlessness to severe agitation, muscle tremors, irregular heart rhythm, high body temperature, seizures and death” as stated by the experts.

Certain Kinds of Fruits and Veggies
Some cooked veggies, and fruits are fine for your cat like Carrots, squash, broccoli and green beans given in minor amounts. But never feed your cat with avocado, apricot, cherries, garlic, onions, mushrooms, grapes and raisins. These veggies and fruits contain toxic ingredients that are harmful for the kitty’s health.
Never feed milk to your grown up cat in healthy amount, it is lactose sensitive. It can experience diarrhea, vomiting and upset stomach. But it would be fine to give a small amount of milk if your pet enjoys the taste of milk.
