CALIFORNIA- Do you know, there is only one star which is hung on the wall of Hollywood Walk of Fame the rest being written on the floor. This star has an interesting reason for being hung on the wall.

The former boxer and three time World Heavyweight Champion, Muhammad Ali was offered a star bearing his name on “Hollywood Walk of Fame”, but he refused to accept it due to respect for Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) name.

The reason behind the refusal was, in his own words was, “I bear the name of our honorable
Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him, and it is impossible that I allow people to trample on his name.”

He is the only star whose name is not on the floor, rather it hangs on the wall.

The Hollywood fame of walk holds the stars as public monument to achievement in the entertainment industry and is a popular tourist spot.

It is pertinent to mention that Mohammad Ali is one of the most recognized sport figures of the century. His fighting style, which he explained as “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” is well known in the boxing world. He was born as Cassius Marcellus Clay, but became Muhammad Ali in 1964 the time when he embraced Islam.
