KANSAS, UNITED STATES- A video got viral on social media depicting a journalist being attacked by insects.
The journalist starts screaming while recording a show as she has been attacked by a swarm of insects.
The journalist, Katya Leick of 24, is reporting the day news for the Kansas State Network (KSNT) from an army base in Fort Reilly and suddenly she has the cicadas (a kind of insects though not harmful for humans but can inflict painful bites in some cases) swarming on her.
She gives the occasional squeal while batting the bugs away with her head. But it seems that this has been too much for her as one of the swarming insects lands on her lip and eventually she drops all her composure and gives a high pitched scream while relentlessly batting her face and hair.
She tried to resume the recording twice after she calmed herself but in both attempts she gives up saying, “OK, no, not doing it.”
After a few moments passed she says to the cameraman, “Let’s get it done so I can get out of here.”
