CALIFORNIA- Do you want to live in a house that is self-sufficient for its energy supply? If yes, then you would be happy to know that the Japanese multinational corporation manufacturing automobiles generally known as the car giant, Honda has developed such house and it contains many other startling features.
As per the details, Honda has developed a house in collaboration with University of California at Davis which is eco-friendly and energy efficient and has its own grid, which means that it can generate power for its own use.
The house is heated and cooled by the ground and generates power through solar energy which is enough to be used in the house, to run the car and also to feed the grid on which energy is produced.
The house is kitted on 1,945 square foot area having three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. It is a 9.5kW solar array which is capable of producing direct current.
Considering the fact that homes and cars are the major source of carbon dioxide emissions especially in the United States, the company has arranged the car to be a home appliance which is to be run through solar energy.
The house is also water efficient, which means that it is designed in a way that the water wastage would become minimal.
