DENVER, UNITED STATES- The former President of United States (US), Bill Clinton has given a statement in an interview to Bloomberg Television which has put an end to the major criticism coming from his opponents.
He said that if his spouse, Mrs. Hillary Clinton wins the presidential election 2016, which is expected to be held on November 8th, he would stop giving paid lectures, rather he would deliver them free of cost .
It is pertinent to mention that the politicians from one of the main political parties of US, the Republican Party have severely criticized Bill and Hillary Clinton on taking great remuneration amounting to millions of dollars for delivering speeches and lectures in and outside the country.
They made this criticism on the ground that delivering paid lectures can raise conflicts of interest.
He responded to this criticism by claiming that if her wife wins in the elections and take charge of White House then he will deliver free lectures.
“I will still give speeches though on the subjects I’m interested in, and I’ve really enjoyed those things,” he says. But he will stop receiving compensation for these speeches.
