KARACHI- The Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has offered the Sindh government to help launching a Metro-style bus in Karachi in a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the CM House.
The Chief Minister went to Karachi to invite the governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ibad and the CM, Syed Qaim Ali Shah to join him in the inauguration ceremony of the Metro Bus service.
In the meeting, other important issues were also discussed between the two chief ministers. The issues included the formula of National Financial Commission Award, the Karachi Circular Railway, the adjoining of several cities of Sindh with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the law and order situation in Karachi. They also discussed the purchase and sale of wheat.
Mr. Sharif also had discussion with Dr. Ibad at Governor House on the law and order situation of Karachi and the projects being accomplished in the city with the federal assistance.
At a meeting in Punjab House, the political leader talked with the local leaders of PML-N over the proposed reorganization of the party and also discussed the coming elections of local government in Sindh.
The president of the provincial chapter of PML-N, Ismail Rahu, informed him on the party affairs in the meeting. Mr. Sharif also asked the local leaders of PML-N to launch mass contact campaigns.
He also stated that the central leaders of the party would come to Sindh before elections and would address meetings in various districts. There will be a meeting soon with the leaders of Sindh, to discuss the allocation of party tickets and plan a strategy to contest the elections jointly with likeminded parties.
