NEW YORK – A Saudi billionaire, Fawaz Al Hokair has bought a Manhattan penthouse in $95 million that is the highest residence in New York City.
The 8,255 square foot penthouse at 432 Park Avenue has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, as well as a fireplace, heated bathroom floors and 10-feet high windows that make the most of the apartment’s location 1,396 feet (425m) high.
Al Hokair founded the Fawaz Alhokair Group which says on its website ‘The Group has expanded its business operations beyond the borders of the Kingdom [of Saudia Arabia] and invested in retail and real estate sectors across the GCC countries, reaching to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), USA and Central Asia and Caucasus.
‘The fashion retail sector across its 16 countries now operates more than 2,100 stores representing more than 80 international brands. The real estate division of the Group presently operates a network of 16 shopping malls, managing over 1.6 Million sq meters of prime retail real estates.’
It is important to mention here that retail magnate Fawaz Al Hokair, was recently estimated to be worth $1.37bn and has often been included in the Arabian Business’ annual Richest Arabs List.
