BRADFORD – Former One Direction star Zayn Malik has denied the rumors about taking role of an X Factor judge in this year’s show.
Bradford-born singer, who quit the band in March telling fans he wanted to be a normal 22 year old and to spend more time with girlfriend Perrie Edwards, was rumoured to be joining The X Factor judging panel.
However, a spokesperson then rubbished the rumours by telling that: “It’s a complete fabrication, this story is complete nonsense.”
It all started when a source claimed that Simon Cowell was looking to sign up Zayn for the show to try and boost ratings.
Simon Cowell still hasn’t officially confirmed if Louis Walsh and Mel B will be back, but he has said Cheryl Fernandez will join him on the panel this year.
Meanwhile, the star’s girlfriend says Zayn has spent “a lot of time in the kitchen” since leaving One Direction.
She further said: “I don’t know when the wedding will be. We’re still planning it but I’m so busy with Little Mix now Black Magic is coming out.
“Me and Zayn want it to be perfect, so as soon as I have a bit of time we’ll plan it. I doubt it will be this summer – but I’ll let you know!”
