According to the PakistanTribe’s (PT) correspondent from Islamabad, HEC’s latest warning addressing to the candidates verifying their academic degrees through agents and consultants.
“Contrary to the procedure prescribed by HEC, these agents or consultants put fake stamp of HEC on their original degrees. Due to that these degrees when presented to HEC are confiscated by the Commission,” said the announcement.
“Third party verification of degrees creating huge trouble for the job seekers as well as employers.”
HEC on Sunday has issued a notice through print media which is given a proclamation to inform the general public and especially the students that such agents and consultants are not accredited or certified by Higher Education Commission. So the public should avoid to contact them for their degree verification. Rather they should follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as prescribed by HEC. These SOPs are available on the official website of HEC.
Announcement further say that HEC has not at all assigned the task of equivalence or verification of degrees or result cards to any agent or consultant.
This proclamation issued by the Director General, Farmanullah Anjum also said that verifying degrees by these agents and consultants can cause big trouble to the degree holders.
