ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated Green Line Train service between Islamabad and Karachi at Margalla Railway Station in Islamabad, PakistanTribe.com reported.
According to the PakistanTribe’s (PT) correspondent from Islamabad, PM visited different compartments of the train made for the travelers in the train.
On this occasion, the PM said that Saad Rafique came out to be a good decision for the Ministry of Railways and Pakistan railways had been in deep recession during the last few years. It was the performance of PML-N which restored railways.
Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid were also present in the ceremony
It is worth mentioning here that Green Line Train is no more an ordinary train as it will be completely Air-conditioned with Wi-Fi Internet facility throughout the journey and also providing newspapers and three time meal to the passengers.
The train will leave Karachi’s Cantt Station at 9:30am every morning, reaching Margalla Station in Islamabad at 8:45am the next morning. Meanwhile, another train will leave Islamabad at 3:15am daily, arriving in Karachi at 2:30am the next night.
The train coming from Karachi to Islamabad will make stops at Hyderabad, Rohri, Khanewal, Lahore and Rawalpindi on its way.
Two trains will be used for the service, with tickets costing Rs.5000 per passenger.
