Food Outlets Fined For Unhygienic Conditions In Islamabad|

ISLAMABAD – During a surprise inspection of food outlets in F-10 area, Assistant Commissioner Shalimar, Syed Jawad Muzaffar has fined Rs 30,000 on unhygienic food outlets for failing to maintain hygienic and sanitary conditions.

According to the PakistanTribe’s (PT) correspondent,  he also imposed fines on the violators of Prohibition of Smoking and Protection of Non-Smokers Health Ordinance 2002.

He directed the owners of the food outlets to immediately improve the sanitary conditions of their kitchens if they will not improve the sanitary condition then strict action will be taken against them on next visit.

He told that smoking at public places was prohibited under the law and its implementation would be ensured in letter and spirit.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Waqas Rashid, conducting inspection of petrol pumps in Bhara Kahu and Club Road imposed fines worth Rs 75,000 on the owners of 3 petrol pumps because of the faulty scales, paying less wages to the workers, inadequate fire extinguishing arrangements, and selling open petrol in cans.

He warned the business owners to ensure adequate fire extinguishing and private security arrangements and keep their measuring scales in order and in case of violation, strict action will be taken against them.
